It’s a fact that most of us answer lots of questions every day for free. But if you've built your expert image in a particular realm, you should always find new ways of making money from it.
Answering short and simple questions might be precious to others.
Sometimes even a seemingly unimportant yes or no answer from you is worth good money for some.
Although, it's been just too complex to start collecting payments for this kind of "micro-consulting" work, it's not a problem anymore.
You can collect requests and track your micro-proposals by using the XpertAnswer form!
How XpertAnswer can help you? We give you an all-in-one solution to build an online consulting business. Just skim through the simple steps that would help you create your own form to make extra money.
Sign up and build your consulting formAfter creating an account at XpertAnswer (it’s free), you can start customizing your consulting form in terms of texts, colors and other add-ons, as per your requirements.
Set up your payment settings and start processing credit cards in a few minutesXpertAnswer's PayPal integration features allow you to easily process credit cards from your users. PayPal enables you to accept online payments from customers with or without PayPal accounts. So your buyers can pay with their credit/debit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover) — all without having a PayPal account.
You need to register for a PayPal Business Standard account to start accepting payments. Don't worry, it takes about 5 minutes to sign-up if you don't already have a business account. PayPal has no setup or monthly fees, there's only a small transaction fee (2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction within the US, slightly more for international sales). You can withdraw money from your PayPal balance at any time free of charge (within the US, slightly more elsewehere)
To integrate PayPal with XpertAnswer, all that you will need is the email address that you use to log into your PayPal account. You will log into you XpertAnswer account, edit your Settings, and enter that email address into the "PayPal email address" field.
Use your form any way you wantOnce the form is created, you can use it in any way and anywhere you want.
You can use it as a popup widget in your blog, homepage, Facebook page or anywhere else (you just need to copy and paste a few lines of code into your website or blog).
It can also be used as a simple link in your signatures, emails, forum comments etc., like this: this is my sample signature
Receive enquiriesThe moment the contact form reach the users, you would immediately start receiving questions for written or voice consultation.
Track and manage the proposals and paymentsHandle your proposals, collect payments, and manage invoicing with the help of our application.
Of course, there'll still be many answers that will remain free, but that won’t be a problem as there would be some new, very good leads as well.
Answer questionsUse your expertise to answer the questions asked by the site visitors or form users.
What kind of consulting options can I offer with my XpertAnswer form? You can receive enquiries for written or voice consultation. "Written" means that you should fill in a text field with the answer. However, "Voice" is not a definite way of communication: there isn't any solution integrated into our application yet. So, you can use your mobile phone or a dedicated phone for this. Alternatively, you can also use Skype, Viber or any other internet phone or chat application. You should tell the questioner your preferred method by mentioning it in your proposal.
Is my expertise/business/field suitable for XpertAnswer? If you hold expertise in a certain area the answer is definitely yes. Tax experts, lawyers, doctors, marketing gurus, vets, mechanics, etc. all fit well. It's best if you already have a blog or twitter page with some followers or if you are active in forums or discussion boards. XpertAnswer is also great for you if you already have clients and you'd like to offer them a new service.
What rates should I use? There are no fix rates in the form, it's up to you to set the price when you get an enquiry. You can give advice for free as well.
How much money will I eventually receive if I charge 20$ for an answer?PayPal will deduct 2.9% + $0.30 as "transaction fees" from the payment that you receive, and our site will deduct 19% from your pre-paid XpertAnswer balance (we do not deduct any fees when you purchase a monthly subscription). So the amount you’ll receive would be ~15.3$ (or ~19.1$ if you subscribe). PayPal charges slightly more outside the US.
The site is Beta. What does it mean? It's still under development - there are tons of features we plan to introduce in the near future. But the core of the app is already up and running, so you can definitely use it to begin earning some money with it.
Basically, we offer two payment options:
- Pay-as-you-go with 19% fee per transaction. It means that you should pre-pay an amount (any amount) and we deduct this fee from your balance (each time someone pays you an amount via XpertAnswer).
- Monthly subscription with 0% commission fee for $69/m.
But we're happy to tell you that if you sign up now, you can use the app completely free for 30 days or until your XpertAnswer income reaches 100$.
It means that we give you a $20 pay-as-you-go balance for free, which you can use to pay your fees (with our 19% rate it's enough for your first ~$100 income).
